The "Product Kits" module is designed to create product kits that can be offered to customers as special offers. Product kits can be useful for promotions, increasing the average order value, and stimulating sales by offering related products at a special price compared to purchasing each product separately.
The module works only with the product quantity parameter and does not take into account the quantity or required status of options.
The module helps you fine-tune the display of product kits so that target customer groups can see them in the context of specific categories or manufacturers, as well as in specific stores if you use multi-store functionality. This is convenient for creating personalized offers and effective targeted marketing.
To manage kits, go to "Modules" - "Product Kits". All created product kits will be displayed here. Each kit includes a name, products included in the kit, date added, status "Enabled" or "Disabled", and actions for managing the kit.
Created product kits can be easily found using filters by the following criteria:
- "Kit name" — search for kits by their name;
- "Category" — filter kits by product category;
- "Product name" — search by products included in kits;
- "Manufacturer" — search for kits by product manufacturer.
To add a new kit, click the blue plus "+" button in the upper-right corner of the page. To edit an added kit, click the blue edit icon button in the table of the corresponding kit. In both cases, a form with product kit information will open. Two settings tabs will be available here.
The following options are available in the "Settings" tab:
- "Status" — switch for activating or deactivating the product kit;
- "Name" — the kit name that will be displayed in the admin panel;
- "Products" — a section where products can be added to the kit. The product name is shown here. You can also select the discount type for the product in the kit "Percentage or fixed amount", specify the discount amount that will be applied to the product, specify the minimum product quantity "The value after which the kit will be applied", and define the sort order for products. The button with the cart icon is used to remove a product from the kit;
- "Date" — allows you to set the start and end date of the promotional offer for the kit;
- "Sort order" — defines the display order of the kit among other offers.
The "Links" tab is used to define where and how the kit will be displayed in the store. The available options in this tab are described below:
- "Available for customer groups" — allows you to select customer groups for which this product kit will be available;
- "Stores" — if multi-store functionality is used, you can select which stores will display the kit;
- "Show in categories" — allows you to select categories where the product kit will be displayed;
- "Show in manufacturers" — allows you to select manufacturers on whose pages the product kit will be displayed.
After entering and checking all kit data, click the blue "Save" button in the upper-right corner of the page.
To display the kits module in categories and manufacturers, activate the module in the extensions list.
After that, select "Order Totals" in the extension type list and activate "Product Kits".
After activation, click "Edit" and enable the module.
After activating the module, go to "Design" - "Layouts" and display the module on category and manufacturer pages where necessary.
To display kits on the product page, go to "Template Settings", open the "Product Card" tab, and activate the module.
